Make Quilted Valentine Cards - Send Them in the Mail!
Making your own fabric Valentine's cards is so much fun. Send some love to friends and family, and use up some of your scraps!
Here are some ideas to get you started, made by Quiltsmartie, Julie Dess.
Using our printed muslin postcard back makes a fun and professional finish to your Valentine's.
These adorable birds are asking you to 'Be Mine'!
Julie used bits of lace, scraps of fabric, and added some hand stitching (and a button!) to embellish this handmade Valentine. The lace was added with a zigzag stitch to finish the postcard.
Is your love authentic and timeless? If so, show the ones you love with a fabric postcard!
Julie used words cut from fabric and a heart cut from vintage lace over some crazy quilting. Free motion stitched and finished with a black border.
Always a good reminder: "Love who you are". You are enough!
The background is woven from fabric scraps. Angelina fibers were used under the lettering and stitched down with the heart and letters. The edge is finished with decorative machine stitches in a variegated thread.
Silk scraps bring this Valentine to life - XOXO!
Tulle was cut 1", gathered, and stitched under the heart. Gold metallic threads were hand-stitched, and a piece of vintage lace was sewn on top. And signed with lots of love!
The edge was finished with a satin stitch
