Do I need prior experience with curved piecing?
No. The Quiltsmart interfacing system is designed to guide you through curves step-by-step, making it approachable even if you’ve never sewn curves before.

 

What size quilt does this pattern make?
This makes a baby or lap-size quilt measuring 38" x 48".  It's easy to add more blocks to make a larger quilt size.

 

Can I use scraps instead of 10" precuts?
Yes! Cut your scraps into 10" squares and get stitching!

Do I need special tools?
No specialty rulers are required. Basic quilting supplies plus an iron for fusing are all you need. I do recommend a point turner and seam presser, and Fastturn #6 for preparing your rings.

 

Can I make multiple quilts with one pattern?
You’ll need interfacing for each quilt, but once you understand the method, you can easily repeat the process with different fabrics.

 

What type of fabric works best?
High-quality quilting cotton works best, especially coordinated layer cakes for a cohesive look.
