Classic Irish Chain Made Easy!
The classic Irish Chain quilt is so easy to make when you start with our PiX Smart Grid! Your corners match every time!
Materials needed:
- PiX Smart Grid - I used the 2-1/2" grid
- 2-1/2" squares from your fabric scraps
- 2-1/2" squares of your background fabric
- 6-1/2" squares for your background fabric
Tools needed:
Sewing machine
Small sharp scissors
Iron
Pressing surface
1. Start by cutting your PiX Smart Grid into nine patches. I used the 2-1/2 inch PiX Smart Grid.
2. Fuse precut squares on the grid.
3. Sew along the marked lines for perfect corners! Clip the intersections, sew the other way flipping seams up and down.
4. Lay out the blocks on a design wall. Fill in the empty spaces with your background fabric. Sew the rows together to make your Irish Chain quilt top.
