Art Nest Retreat Center

Agency, Missouri 

 

Nestled amidst the tranquility of the Missouri countryside, just 30 minutes from Kansas City International Airport, lies Art Nest Retreat Center.

 

What to expect:

You'll receive a Quiltsmart product bundle of printed interfacing patterns that represent the various methods to make quilting Easy, Fast and Fun! You will make a step by step demo of a variety of the patterns!


We'll work through each of the techniques as a group, with tips and tricks provided to help you teach and inspire students to sew with confidence.


And, we'll have FUN!

At the Quiltsmart Certified Instructor Workshop you will:

- Develop knowledge of Quiltsmart products and techniques to make quilting easy, fast and smart
- Learn how to inspire students to sew with ease
- Learn professional teaching techniques
- Prepare a classroom demonstration kit

- Have fun!


Included in the Cost:   

- Training on Quiltsmart products provided by Mattie Rhoades
- 3 Nights Stay at the Retreat House (shared bedrooms only)

What to bring:

• Sewing machine will be needed for the workshop

• Fabrics to make samples. Bring a variety of fabrics, totaling a minimum of five (5) yards.

Additional Information:

• Arrive by 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 26, 2026

• Depart 12:30 pm on Sunday, March 29, 2026

• Participants are responsible for transportation to and from retreat center, as well as all meals

• If you fly the day before the start of the training, you can stay overnight at the retreat center for $50.  

• If you live locally, plan on staying onsite to get the full benefit of the training sessions (price will not be reduced if you do not plan to stay).

• Shared Bedrooms. The house is scent and smoke free. Smoking is  not allowed in or outside of the house. 

• Payment is due in full at time of signup

• In the event of cancellation, 50% refund up to February 26, 2026, and no refund after  March 5th, 2026. If you find someone to take your place, when their payment is received a  refund will be sent to you.
